Nested in the Shawangunk Mountains of New Paltz, New York, this is an excellent place for you and your family to meet in the winter and the summer!
This stunning location was also used for filming the Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Broderick movie “The Road to Wellville” in 1994.
2. Riverstone Resort & Spa
Located in Riverstone, Tennessee, the Riverstone Resort and Spa is one of the best places to have a family reunion if you’re looking to kick back and relax.
This stunning resort has a rustic vibe to it and is situated right near the Gatlinburg Golf Course. So not only can you enjoy your log cabin and porch, fitted with all the modern amenities you would expect, but you’ll have so much to explore locally. It’s even just a few miles away from the Dollywood theme park!
Look out for the indoor pool, the outdoor lazy river with waterfalls, and the communal BBQ and picnic area!

With incredible views of the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico, the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa might just be the best one of our family reunion destination ideas. The Mariposa Auto Camp is another one of our favorite family reunion destination ideas. This is a site located on secluded forested grounds just miles away from Yosemite National Park in California. It's packed with amazing aluminum trailers, with each trailer kitted out in authentic mid-century modern décor.
You get kitchenettes and modern living rooms, sofa beds, and surprisingly luxurious spa-style bathrooms. There are also wood cabins that are perfect for as many as five guests, and some luxury canvas tests are available in the warmer months.
Outside, you have access to a heated pool. There's a freshwater pond, fire pits, and mountain bikes. It's perfect if you're looking for adventure!
6. Big Cedar Lodge For Active Family Reunions
Big Cedar Lodge is an incredible remote haven for families and couples, offering tons of activities and amazing lodging on a 4,600-acre site.
